MIDVALE — As one person noted on Twitter Friday, "I see more green today than I ever did on St. Patrick's Day. Proud Warrior. Proud Husky. Proud Utahn."

Students across the state wore green Friday to show their support and respect for two Hillcrest High School students who were killed in a traffic accident Wednesday night.

Hunter Kelson, 17, and Cheyenne Bagley, 16, were hit and killed when the Plymouth Neon they were in pulled out in front of an oncoming Jeep Wrangler on 700 East near 9675 South and was T-boned on the driver's side. Kelson, who was driving, and Bagley, who was sitting in the back seat behind the driver, were killed. A 15-year-old girl in the front passenger seat suffered minor injuries.

A viewing and funeral for Bagley is scheduled for Saturday at Lake Hills Mortuary in Sandy starting at 11 a.m.

Kelson's funeral is scheduled for Wednesday. Details of that service were not immediately available.

On Friday, students from across the region showed their support by wearing green. Using the hashtag "#HuskyStrong," students from Cyprus, Taylorsville, Jordan, Brighton and other high schools all posted pictures on Twitter of themselves wearing green. Waterford School and Summit Academy also posted pictures of students wearing green on social media.

"This makes me happy so much support from all over the valley," one student tweeted.

"Proud Warrior. Proud Husky. Proud Utahn," tweeted another.

"It's amazing that all these schools are coming together to be #huskystrong these past two days. Thank you," said another person.

Hillcrest officials invited any student wearing green to show up at the high school's football field Friday afternoon to have a giant group photo taken. The pictures will be presented to the families of Bagley and Kelson.

A candlelight vigil was also scheduled for Friday, the second in two nights. At Thursday night's vigil, Bagley's parents were spotted talking to other students.

A makeshift memorial in front of the school continued to grow Friday with balloons, notes and stuffed animals.

The Canyons School District has set up a fund to help raise money for the families of the victims. A GoFundMe page* has been set up to help pay for Bagley's funeral expenses and states that any extra money will be donated to a scholarship fund for dancers.
