TOOELE — A Tooele couple was hospitalized with minor injuries Saturday morning following an accidental gun discharge.
The husband discharged a .40-caliber handgun as he practiced handling the gun while watching an instructional video, said Tooele police officer Tanya Turnbow.
"At this point, it looks accidental," Turnbow said. "We don't expect any charges."
Both husband and wife were taken from their home at 355 S. Fairway Drive to local medical facilities in stable condition.
"We just want folks to remember to make sure that they're being safe with handguns," Turnbow said. "Treat each gun like it's loaded."
