OGDEN — A wanted fugitive was arrested Wednesday but not before "striking" a police officer and police K-9, according to police.
Ogden police were called to a domestic dispute near 14th Street and 500 East just before 3 p.m. Thursday.
Robert Bullock, 26, the subject of the dispute, "barricaded himself" and refused to come out of the residence, according to Ogden police. Officers also learned there were several warrants out for Bullock's arrest.
The Ogden-Metro SWAT team was called and located Bullock, who "continued his refusal to cooperate," according to police. "Bullock resisted arrest, striking an officer and the K-9 police dog."
After being being taken into custody and treated at a local hospital for a dog bite, Bullock was booked into the Weber County Jail for investigation of domestic violence assault, domestic violence in the presence of a child, two counts of residential burglary, interfering with an arrest, assault on police officer, and interfering with police service animal.
According to court records, Bullock was charged in February in 2nd District Court and a warrant was issued for his arrest for drug possession, failing to stop at the command of an officer and theft by deception.
In 2012, Bullock was convicted of attempted burglary and sentenced to a year at the Utah State Prison. He was also convicted in a separate drug possession case in 2012.
Bullock was convicted of burglary and unlawful possession of a credit card in 2010 and sentenced to up to five years in prison, which he served concurrently with a theft conviction in another case that same year, according to court records.
In 2008, Bullock was convicted of forgery and originally given probation, but then sent to prison for up to five years for violating probation.
