TAYLORSVILLE — The second of two men who police say robbed a store employee at gunpoint and left her tied up in a back room has been arrested.

Unified police announced Thursday that Jeffrey Jones, 45, of West Valley, was arrested at an apartment in West Valley without incident. He was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of aggravated robbery.

The arrest comes just two days after officers arrested his alleged accomplice, Gary Grant, 44, of Taylorsville, who goes by the nickname "Big Homie."

On Monday, police say both men walked into the Family Dollar Store, 1649 W. 4200 South, brought several items to the front counter as though they were shopping, and then pulled out a handgun and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the men tied up a store employee with a TV cable, put her in a back room and left.

Neither man has a significant prior criminal history in Utah, according to court records.
