SALT LAKE CITY — Utah senior guard Delon Wright was named to two All-American lists Monday.

Wright led the Associated Press’ All-American second team and was included on the National Association of Basketball Coaches second team. Wright was the only player from the Pac-12 to be named to an Associated Press All-American team, while Arizona’s Stanley Johnson was named to the NABC’s third team.

Wright was joined by Kentucky freshman Karl-Anthony Towns, Northern Iowa senior Sean Tuttle, Arkansas sophomore Bobby Portis and Virginia junior Malcolm Brogdon on the Associated Press team. Gonzaga junior Kyle Wiltjer replaced Portis on the NABC’s second team list.

Wright finished his career at Utah with 1,022 points, making him one of 37 athletes to score over 1,000 career points at the University of Utah. He averaged 15.0 points over his two-year career at Utah. In his senior year, Wright averaged 14.5 points, 5.1 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game.

Wright leaves Utah as the 35th all-time leading scorer (1,022), and is in the top 10 in several statistical categories over his career and for individual season performances, including fourth in career steals (155), 10th in career assists (352), second in season steals (82), eighth in season assists (178) and tied for ninth in season blocked shots (43).

Athletes voted in the Associated Press and NABC first team include Kentucky junior Willie Cauley-Stein, Notre Dame senior Jerian Grant, Wisconsin senior Frank Kaminsky, Duke freshman Jahlil Okafor and Ohio State freshman D’Angelo Russell.

The Associated Press third team includes Gonzaga junior Kyle Wiltjer, Gonzaga senior Kevin Pangos, Oklahoma junior Buddy Hield, Syracuse senior Rakeem Christmas and Iowa State junior Georges Niang. The NABC third team replaces Christmas and Wiltjer for Virginia junior Justin Anderson and Arizona’s Stanley Johnson.

The voting for the Associated Press teams was conducted by the same 65-member media panel that selects the weekly Top 25. The voting for the NABC teams was conducted by member coaches of the NABC.
