SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A former NASCAR driver who authorities say led police on a 150-mph chase through three states has been sentenced to 90 days in a Utah jail.

Court records show Timothy Tyler Andrew Walker was sentenced Monday in St. George after pleading guilty to five charges stemming from the January 2013 chase in Nevada, Arizona and Utah.

Walker competed in 28 lower-tier NASCAR races before the stock car racing association suspended him in 2007 for violating its drug policy.

The 35-year-old Walker, from Hermosa Beach, California, was arrested March 16 after he showed up 45 minutes late to a sentencing hearing.

Records show Judge Eric Ludlow also imposed three years' probation on Monday.

Defense attorney Trevor Terry did not immediately return a message seeking comment Monday.
