LAS VEGAS (AP) — Westgate Las Vegas officials say a 78-year-old woman has won $10.7 million on a Megabucks slot machine.
The casino-hotel's spokeswoman said Trinidad Torres of Magna, Utah put $100 in the machine Saturday and made several $3 bets before she hit the jackpot around 1 p.m.
Westgate spokeswoman Amy Chasey says Torres plans on visiting family in the Philippines and wants to buy a yellow Mustang with her winnings.
Chasey says it was the woman's first time visiting the Westgate, previously the Las Vegas Hilton, to watch her friend play in a blackjack tournament.
The last winner on a Megabucks slot machine which gets progressively larger until someone hits the jackpot was an anonymous man from the Las Vegas area who won $14.3 million in December at Rampart Casino.
