ST. GEORGE — An 84-year-old woman has been killed after colliding with a street pole while driving southbound on Valley View Dr. in St. George Sunday afternoon, police say.
The crash took place at South Dixie Dr. and South Valley View Dr. in St. George. The woman is from St. George. No other vehicles were reportedly involved, and there were no passengers. A medical helicopter was originally called out, but later cancelled.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident. The vehicle had Utah license plates, and preliminary reports say the car was traveling approximately 50 mph at the time of the crash.
