ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) — Southern Utah is bracing for more precipitation after a weekend storm dumped about a foot of snow in the higher elevations.
The Spectrum newspaper reports that Cedar City was hit with 11 to 12 inches of snow as of Sunday.
More snow's expected throughout the day Monday and lasting into Tuesday. Another 4 to 8 inches could fall by Monday evening.
The National Weather Service is also warning drivers to take caution. The storm will affect roads in the area, including along Interstate 15 in southwestern Utah near Interstate 70 and south of Cedar City.
Plows have been fighting to keep up. Accidents and a rescue have been reported.
