WEST HAVEN — Within an hour of Weber County Sheriff's deputies asking the public for help to find an 11-year-old West Haven boy Saturday night, he was located safe and sound.

Dacoda Rankins had been missing since about 2 p.m. He was last seen near the basketball courts at Haven Point Apartments, 2265 S. 1100 West.

After searching for him for hours, deputies turned to Twitter to ask the public for help. But just after 10 p.m., Dacoda returned home.

According to sheriff's office Twitter account, Dacoda was safe. Deputies were headed to Dacoda's house late Saturday night to talk with him and find out where he'd been.
