OGDEN (AP) — Authorities say a Wyoming man injured in a snowmobile accident in Utah has been taken to an Ogden hospital.
Cache County Sheriff Chief Deputy Matt Bilodeau says rescuers reached the man and a friend Thursday afternoon in the Arb's Basin area in the far southeastern part of the county.
The Herald Journal of Logan reports dispatchers told rescuers they were looking for two snowmobilers believed to be off-duty law enforcement officers from Evanston, Wyoming.
The newspaper reports one of the men had a broken leg while the other communicated by cellphone with dispatchers.
Stormy conditions didn't allow a medical helicopter to land, so crews got him out with a rescue sled.
Authorities say the man was cold but otherwise in seemingly stable condition.
His name wasn't immediately released.
