MILLVILLE, Utah (AP) — A construction worker has been hospitalized after an industrial accident at the new high school being built in Millville.

Cache County Sheriff's Deputy Matt Bilodeau says the 39-year-old Ogden man was working on a steel beam Thursday morning when the beam tilted over and pinned his leg against a concrete wall.

Bilodeau says deputies responded to the scene about 7:30 a.m. and helped treat the man until paramedics arrived.

He says the deputies, emergency crew and fellow construction workers helped remove the beam and free the man. He was taken by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital.

Bilodeau says the subcontractor's leg had been pinned below the knee. His name has not been released and his condition is not known.
