MILFORD, Mich. (WDIV) — For most of us, this Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday, but for one Michigan family, it is also a day marking a huge milestone.
Since Helen and Lucille's first birthday in Detroit 90 years ago, the world may have changed a lot, but the twins still wear the same outfits and are still inseparable.
Their first job was side-by-side as operators for the phone company back in the early 1940s.
"After a while, they wouldn't let us work together. So she worked in one and I worked down the road. Too much yacking, I guess," Helen recalls.
They had disagreements, but never an argument. The family will tell you they never heard one say a cross word about the other.
Lucille's husband knew when they married 67 years ago, this was a package deal.
"They are a joy to be around. And I've grown to love, in the essence I'm talking about, with Helen, just like Lucille," Joe England says.
