SOUTH SALT LAKE — A 78-year-old man who went missing Tuesday was found dead in his vehicle Friday afternoon.

Darwin Daniel Allred’s body was found in his 1992 red Dodge Dakota truck 3 miles North of I-80, near exit 77 and the Timpie Springs Waterfowl Management Area, by a person who works in the area, according to Gary Keller with the South Salt Lake Police Department.

The Tooele County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of death, Keller said.

Allred, who had dementia, went missing at about 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. He had recently been talking about returning to his home in Price.
