PROVO — A woman is in serious condition after being ejected from her vehicle in a Provo Canyon car crash Monday night.
At 9:21 p.m. on U.S. 189, the woman's car collided with another vehicle in "a close to head-on collision," according to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce.
A man and his two sons, riding in the second vehicle in the crash, were hospitalized for visible injuries, which Royce said were "more on the minor side."
The woman was also taken to an area hospital. Her condition was serious but likely not life-threatening, Royce said.
Eastbound U.S. 189 remained closed for about an hour, according to the Utah Department of Transportation. Westbound traffic was reduced to one lane but has since cleared.
