PARK CITY — Thousands of out-of-state visitors were walking up and down Main Street Saturday during day three of the Sundance Film Festival.

There have already been movie screenings, star sightings and an influx of people to the Park City area.

Sometimes in life you need to stop and take a look around, especially when you feel the entire state of California has been dropped in your backyard.

"We're these skiing gawkers on Main Street," said one Park City local. "I'm entirely out of place, but it's OK because Utahns are out of place in Park City at this point."

The high number of people from out of town is good for business.

"We've had a line out the door starting at 7 a.m. for the past two days," said Sami Davis, an employee at the Java Cow Cafe on Main Street.

It's also good for providing entertainment, even without a ticket.

"It's classy people watching," said one longtime Park City resident. "These people are dressed the way they are for a purpose."

Outside the Java Cow Cafe, a crowd gathered after hearing a rumor a celebrity was inside.

"I heard it was Kevin Bacon or James Franco," said one excited festival attendee. "We'll settle for either one."

For the locals who may wish Sundance were still just about the films, for the next eight days the silver screen is on Main Street.
