TAYLORSVILLE — Police are searching for two armed robbers who they say took over a McDonald's restaurant in Taylorsville, stole money and terrorized customers.

The men entered the McDonald's at 4217 S. Redwood Rd. just before midnight, according to Lt. Steve Shreeve of the Unified Police Department.

One of them took the manager at gunpoint and forced her to open the safe in the back. The other, who was wearing a clown mask, stayed in the dining area.

"He threatened several of the people that were inside McDonald's having dinner," Shreeve said.

The robbers took money then fled. No injuries were reported.
