CLEARFIELD — Ask anyone at the Clearfield Aquatic Center and they will tell you they are more than just water.
A hidden jewel in Davis County, the center has served the public for 10 years. On Friday, Jan. 16, the doors will open to the public for their annual free health and wellness fair. Backed by a plethora of sponsors, the fair offers free vision screenings, blood pressure checks, body fat testing, chair massages, a cooking class as well as physicians, a personal trainer, a nutritionist and a pharmacist on hand to answer any health questions.
The event will occur from noon until 7 p.m..
Free fitness classes start as early as 6 a.m. and continue throughout the day until 7 p.m. In addition to the fitness classes, the center also houses a fitness and cardio room, weight room, indoor track, gym and child care.
If resolutions for 2015 have started to fall by the wayside, this is an opportunity to ask those questions and get back on track with personal fitness goals. Come prepared with questions and enjoy a day packed full of free perks. Take a tour, take a class or two and see how to improve your physical well-being at this one stop shop.
