TENNISDOM — The ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand, hosted a friendly match between tennis stars Venus Williams and Svetlana Kuznetsova, but they were not the main attraction.
The real show stoppers were the ball boys, Ted, Oscar and Super Teddy. They are dogs.
This video shows off some of the highlights of the trio of tail-waggers as they dash across the court to pick up stray tennis balls.
I’m not necessarily a fanatic dog lover, but even jaded old me has to admit this is pretty cute. Well, to watch that is. If I were actually playing the match I have a feeling I’d be a little tentative to start playing with a tennis ball that’s saturated in dog drool as I hit it with a nasty backhand and get it all splashed into my face.
Watching it though? I could do that for hours.
