SALT LAKE CITY — An anonymous call led to the arrest of a man and woman who had syringes, methamphetamine and heroin inside a Denny’s restaurant Friday morning, police said.

Police received a call from a citizen indicating there was a man and woman with syringes inside the establishment at 2025 S. 900 West, according to Salt Lake police detective Dennis McGowan. The man and woman were eating breakfast at the counter around 1:40 a.m.

When officers searched the man and woman, they found 12 grams of meth, 8 grams of heroin, several syringes, packaging and scales, McGowan said.

Samuel Christensen, 44, and Megan Camden, 27, were arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on suspicion of possession of meth and heroin with intent to distribute.

“If you see something, say something,” McGowan said. “That person stepping up, even remaining anonymous is fine, but by letting us know about it they are helping us address these issues and get these people off the street who are involved in drug activity.

"It’s always a positive thing when we can get these people off the street and get them whatever help they need and not be in a position where they are distributing and proliferating this type of activity.”
