WEST VALLEY CITY — Fire officials are asking residents to be cautious when heating their houses this winter after fire forced a woman from her home Sunday.
Officials said the fire started about 8 p.m. at a home near 3800 South and 6400 West.
Investigators believe a propane tank near a wood-burning stove may have started the fire.
The woman living in the home escaped safely.
Fire officials estimated damages at $50,000.
