We thought we'd give you a few more ideas on getting your family into the outdoors for the holidays.

One of the most fun is a sleigh ride through the elk at Hardware Ranch WMA. The rides are offered Friday through Monday, $5 for adults, and free for kids 3 and under.

How about an ice fishing tournament? On Saturday, Dec. 27, Scofield Park will host an ice fishing tournament. For more information, go to stateparks.utah.gov and look under Scofield State Park.

On ec. 31, the Great Salt Lake Audubon Society will hold a monthly field tyrip to the Great Salt Lake Nature Center.

One of my favorite things to do is load up the kids, take your binocular and spotting scopes, and give the animals plenty of room as you head up a Utah canyon to view the wildlife.
