LAYTON — Police are seeking the public’s help to identify two men who robbed Key Bank on Friday morning.

The men entered the bank at 999 N. Hill Field Road around 9:20 a.m. and demanded money from bank employees, according to Sgt. Alex Davis with Layton City Police Department.

"At least four bank employees were assaulted. It kind of ranged from being slapped on the side of the head to punched on the side of the head, kicked and or pushed," Davis said.

The first man who entered the bank confronted two male employees sitting in cubicles near the lobby. The man grabbed the phone out of one employee's hands, hung up the phone and then "roughed up" the men in an apparent intimidation tactic, Davis said.

"The other proceeds to jump over the teller counter, where he contacts two females, and sounds like to me just an intimidation factor," Davis said.

One female employee was taken to the hospital for non life-threatening medical treatment related to the assault, Davis said.

"(There were) concerns based on the physical contact she had. I think she was having some pain related to either being struck or pushed down to the floor," Davis said.

The men told bank employees they were armed, but no weapons were seen during the robbery, Davis said.

Both men fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a gold, 4-door passenger car with tinted rear windows, Davis said.

The first man is described as a black male aged 20 to 30 with an average build and about six feet tall. During the robbery, he was wearing sunglasses, a hat with a security logo on the front, black pants, a black long-sleeve shirt, a black vest with a security logo on the pocket and on the back, black gloves with a white emblem/markings and a gold-colored badge on his chest pocket.
