SALT LAKE CITY — A local bank is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information about the man who recently robbed one of its branches, police announced Tuesday.

The robbery took place at the Wells Fargo at 778 S. Main St. on Nov. 25, according to the Salt Lake City Police Department. Investigators said the man brandished a weapon and threatened employees while ordering everyone to get on the floor. He allegedly obtained an undisclosed amount of money from a teller and fled the scene.

The reward is specifically being offered for “original information” that leads to the identification, apprehension and conviction of the man shown in surveillance footage or others who were involved with the Wells Fargo robbery.

Police described the man as being of Hispanic descent and a slim build who is between 25 and 30 years old. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and blue bandana at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information about the incident can contact the Salt Lake City Police Department by calling 801-799-3000 or texting 274637 with the keyword TIPSLCPD and relevant information. The reference is case #14-206234.
