SANDY — Now that the half-day trade window for all 18 current Major League Soccer teams has closed, each club has submitted its 11-man list of players protected from the expansion draft for the league's two new clubs in 2015.

Real Salt Lake's list includes all three Designated Players in Alvaro Saborio, Sebastian Jaime and Javier Morales, as well as mainstays Nick Rimando and Kyle Beckerman. League policy mandates that a Designated Player with a no-trade clause in his contract must be included on his team's protected player list.

The club will leave available a mix of veteran and young players, including longstanding defender Chris Wingert and journeyman midfielder Ned Grabavoy, to newcomers New York City FC and Orlando City SC.

Homegrown Players are automatically exempt from the draft, and RSL's homegrowns currently under contract are Jordan Allen, Lalo Fernandez and Justen Glad. Supplemental roster players, such as RSL's John Stertzer and Sebastian Velasquez, must be offered a senior roster spot by his new club if they are selected in the expansion draft.

Teams may also add one player to the protected list if either expansion club selects an unprotected player during the draft. No team can lose more than two players during the process.

The following is RSL's official protected list, in alphabetical order:

Kyle Beckerman

Tony Beltran

Olmes Garcia

Luis Gil

Sebastian Jaime

Javier Morales

Luke Mulholland

Joao Plata

Nick Rimando

Alvaro Saborio

Chris Schuler
