WASHINGTON — This particular music video won’t debut at the MTV Music Awards anytime soon, but it certainly has been making the rounds in cyberdom as a new Hillary Clinton 2016 presidential campaign video was released recently.
The “Stand With Hillary Clinton” Political Action Committee has a country music flare to it, detailing the leader’s life and the values she stands for, as the vocalist strums the ballad down rural roads and outside a classic red barn.
Some of the lyrics allude to Clinton’s memoir “Hard Choices” that came out earlier this year.
“I have been thinking about one great lady in my life. She’s a mother a daughter and through it all she’s a loving wife. Oh there is something about this great lady — caring, hardworking … she fights for country and my family, now it's time for us to stand up with Hillary.”
In reaction to the Clinton 2016 musical number, Sen. Ted Cruz’s staff created their own rendition of a pro-Cruz ditty. The team isolated a clip from Taylor Swift’s music video, “Shake It Off,” in which the singer says, “I keep cruising,” and posted the segment on Vine. Cruz’s staff’s Tweet subsequently followed with the caption, “I keep CRUZ-in.”
