MOUNTAIN GREEN, Morgan County — The Utah Highway Patrol has released the names of two people killed after being ejected from their vehicle in a rollover crash along Trappers Loop (state Route 167) late Wednesday.

Scott M. Egbert, 19, of Ogden, and Wyatt Kelsey, 20, of Layton, were killed in the accident.

Kelsey was driving a vehicle with four others, reportedly at an "excessive" rate of speed, according to the Utah Highway Patrol, when the vehicle rolled just before midnight. Both Egbert and Kelsey, who were not wearing seat belts, were ejected from the car, according to the UHP.

Egbert was pronounced dead at the scene. Kelsey was flown by medical helicopter to McKay-Dee Hospital Center in Ogden in extremely critical condition and later died.

Three others were taken by ambulance to area hospitals with minor injuries, according to troopers.

Additional information on what may have caused the vehicle to roll was not immediately available.
