TATOOINE — Now that you've all sufficiently stuffed yourselves with turkey and pie and stayed up all night shopping, we have a little surprise for you to wake up to.

The premiere trailer for "Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens" has been released online, and fans everywhere have gone into shock.

The highly anticipated return to the Star Wars universe is still a year away, but the new trailer at least gives us a taste of what to expect from director J.J. Abrams and the seventh chapter of the Star Wars saga.

Other than a little narration we don't get much by way of storyline, but we do get to see newcomers John Boyega and Daisy Ridley in action. Well, for a second or two at least. The real pleasers in the trailer are the brief glimpses we get of some X-Wing fighters as well as the Millenium Falcon in a dogfight with some Tie fighters.

Check out the teaser trailer for the latest Star Wars adventure and pray it holds you over until Dec. 18, 2015. That's the official release date for "Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens."
