SALT LAKE CITY — Senior wide receiver Dres Anderson will miss the remainder of the 2014 season as a result of a knee injury, according to the University of Utah athletics department.

Anderson likely sustained the injury during Utah's 24-21 win over the University of Southern California Saturday, but details about when the injury took place were not immediately made known by the university.

Although the injury is a major blow to the university moving forward, the team has more depth in that position than it has since joining the Pac-12. Freshman Kenric Young is listed as the backup receiver behind Anderson. But receivers Delshawn McClellon and Tim Patrick will likely get some playing time as well.

Anderson is the team's leading receiver with 355 yards and four touchdowns and is second on the team in receptions with 22. Anderson recorded 2,077 receiving yards in his career with Utah, which ranks fifth in school history.

More information will be posted when it's available.
