OGDEN — A woman is behind bars after stabbing and detaining her live-in boyfriend Monday morning, police say.

Isamar Miranda, 24, stabbed her live-in boyfriend and would not let him leave their apartment at 2543 Madison for some time, according to Ogden Police Lt. Tim Scott. The victim eventually left the apartment and went upstairs, where he told a neighbor he had been stabbed.

Miranda then tried to stab the neighbor and went back to the apartment with the victim, Scott said. Officers responded shortly before 4 a.m. and said Miranda was keeping the victim in the apartment. Police tried to negotiate with Miranda before breaking through the door and arresting her, Scott said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with stab wounds on his hands and neck.

Police booked Miranda into the Weber County Jail for investigation of domestic violence aggravated assault, aggravated assault and kidnapping.
