WEST VALLEY CITY — Police are seeking a man and woman who allegedly tied up a man and ransacked his house Wednesday afternoon.

The robbery occurred around 1:20 p.m. near 3500 Orchard Hills Way, according to West Valley City police Lt. Matt Elson. A man told police he was sleeping when a male and female entered his house. The man and woman pointed a gun at the victim and restrained him with Zip Ties, Elson said.

While the robbers were ransacking the house, the man was able to loosen the Zip Ties and ran out of the home, Elson said. The victim ran to the Holiday Oil gas station at 6400 West and 3500 South and called 911.

When officers responded to the scene, the robbers were gone, Elson said. The male robber was described as white male in his 20s, around 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans at the time of the robbery. The female robber was described as a white female in her 20s,\ wearing a blue hoodie. Both robbers wore bandanas over their faces.

The man and woman were seen driving an older model, white Buick.

Police did not release an account of what was stolen.

The robbers are considered armed and dangerous, Elson said. Anyone with information about the robbery can contact the West Valley City Police Department at 801-963-3300.
