Tonights snapshots all come off of this years hunts. Nick McDaniel scored big by drawing a Southwest Desert Limited entry elk tag. On the opening day he scored again with this very unique six by nine bull. Nick says this a bull of a lifetime and he got to share it with his wife Brittney and some lifelong friends.

I chased this bull while on my Wasatch archery elk hunt this year, but it was Chris Smith who was able to bag this beautiful eight by eight on the second day of the rifle hunt. Chris waited 14 years to draw the tag, he says it was a great day in woods not just because of the elk, but because he got to spend it with his son Qualyn.

56-year-old Norman Brace has been taking his two sons Jared and Greg hunting up in the Wasatch for years. This year it was the boys turn to help dear ol' dad. Norman bagged this beautiful bull on the second day of his hunt and he had a whole crew to help him pack it out. .

Kyle had a crazy year hunting elk near Morgan on his archery elk hunt. Just before dark Kyle had a sow with 2 yearlings come in and when they were about 12 yards away, Kyle climbed up this tree and started hollering at the bears. This frightened them and they all scattered except this one yearling who jumped into the tree with Kyle. Kyle says it was an intense couple of minutes before the cub took off with mama bear. Kyle's hunt ended in success when he and his son Chandler called in this nice four point for the freezer.

But our winner tonight had new friend come help him on last years pheasant hunt. Barry and his brother in law encountered this young cow elk and her two sheep pals while hunting in northern Utah. The elk proceeded to follow us for the next 4 hours while we hunted. Barry says what a unique situation as the elk became part of their hunting group. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience Barry, something I'll bet you never forget, and to help you were sending you our big prize as you just won...our snapshot of the week.
