OGDEN — The Bonneville Lakers have been through a series of heartbreaking losses this season.
First, the Lakers suffered a blowout loss to Viewmont, 29-8. Then, Bonneville lost a close contest to rival Clearfield, 42-40. Sadly for the Lakers, they suffered a blowout loss, 42-27, to region rival Box Elder on homecoming night Friday in Ogden.
The Bees opened the game with a 10-yard Connor Udy touchdown, before Bonneville countered with an 85-yard Kobe Beatty kickoff return and a 9-yard Bryan Burns run to take a 14-7 lead.

However, Box Elder scored four consecutive touchdowns, including two by Udy, to take a 35-7 lead in the third quarter. Bonneville would score two touchdowns in the third, but the Bees countered with another Udy touchdown in the period to take a 42-27 lead.
Box Elder’s defense shut down Bonneville for the fourth quarter, securing the Bees’ fourth win of the season.

The Bees host Sky View next week, while the Lakers play at Ogden.
