SALT LAKE CITY — David Archuleta released a new single titled “Glorious,” a song featured in the upcoming documentary “Meet the Mormons.”

Archuleta recorded the song on his mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, according to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir website.

Archuleta told the Mormon Tabernacle Choir the film producers for “Meet the Mormons” asked him to record it, and his mission president thought it was a good missionary opportunity.

“It’s a beautiful message, I listened to it as a missionary,” Archuleta said. “I think it’s a favorite among a lot of youth and a lot of missionaries who are allowed to listen to EFY (Especially For Youth) music.”

A music video accompanied the release of the song, and an mp3 version is available for free on MeetTheMormons.com/Glorious.

"Meet the Mormons" will debut in theaters October 10.
