SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Jazz point guard Trey Burke's name was trending on Twitter for 24 hours before the Jazz held Media Day at the practice facility Monday. But not for the reason he wanted it to be.

The second-year player from Michigan saw nude photos of himself spread virally on the Internet and social media Sunday night, and there was little he could do but apologize Monday — first to his teammates and the organization, and then to fans and the media.

Burke was quick to address it, accept responsibility, and apologize for the embarrassment.

"We already talked about it in the locker room," Burke told reporters at the Jazz practice facility. "From this day forward, it won’t happen again. They were old pictures. They were meant to be kept private but they weren’t. So from this day forward my actions and my judgments will be much better."

New Jazz coach Quin Snyder and general manager Dennis Lindsey also addressed the situation, saying they are still reserving judgment and consequences until after all the facts are collected.

Utah will practice twice a day through Friday in preparation for its first preseason game against Portland at 7 p.m. Oct. 7 at EnergySolutions Arena. The Jazz will also play the Clippers, Lakers, Thunder and Suns before their regular-season opener at home against Houston on Oct. 29.
