ROOSEVELT — A Duchesne man has died from injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash in Roosevelt.
Coy Dietz Clayburn, 22, was critically injured Sept. 19 when the driver of a welding truck pulled out in front of his motorcycle at the intersection of 800 South and U.S. 40, according to Roosevelt police.
Officers said Jordan Jensen was waiting to turn left onto the highway from 800 South about 5:30 p.m. Jensen, 30, saw another vehicle making a right turn off the highway onto 800 South and apparently believed he was clear to make a left turn, investigators said.
Police said the vehicle making the right turn blocked Jensen's view of Clayburn, who was riding his motorcycle west on U.S. 40.
Clayburn, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by ambulance to Uintah Basin Medical Center. He was later flown to a Wasatch Front hospital where he died Thursday.
Jensen, of Altonah, Duchesne County, was not injured in the crash, police said. He was cited for failure to yield, according to Roosevelt Police Chief Rick Harrison.
