YOUTUBELANDIA — Kids grow up in the blink of an eye. One dad simulated this saying by taking a picture of his son every day for four years and compiling the results into one short, beautiful video.

YouTube user dumo took 1,461 pictures of his son, Ray, and compiled the images into a 2 ½ minute video set to The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun.” The video starts with pictures in the hospital on the day Ray was born in August 2010, it keeps track of each month and year.

The video captures recognizable growing-up milestones. At the beginning, Ray starts to become more awake and alert. He starts smiling a lot by October 2010 and gets his first hair cut in February 2011. At a year old, Ray is often smiling and laughing for the camera while sitting in his high chair.

With each month, you see Ray’s happy personality show through. As he gets older, the pictures get more creative with a dinosaur costume, goggles and quite a few superhero pajamas. Ray’s hair also goes through a lot of transformations from buzz cuts to bowl cuts. He even sports a mohawk during his second year of life.

Perhaps the most impressive part of the video is that Ray is such a happy and willing subject for every photo.

“He's the sweetest kid, love him so much," dumo wrote in the video's description. “He still thinks it's completely normal that I take his picture every day, doesn't even question it, ha. There will possibly be a day when he figures out that doing this isn't the law of every household.”
