SUMMIT COUNTY — A 15-year-old boy was injured when he fell 20 feet near Wall Lake while rappelling Saturday morning.

A search and rescue team initially assisted paramedics in treating the boy at the scene, according to Summit County Sgt. Ron Bridge.

"We're taking our high-angle team in," Bridge said. "They have ropes and harnesses so that they can rappel down the cliff to get to the patient."

Police have released few details but did say the boy was flown out of the area by medical helicopter.

It is unclear the extent of the teen's injuries, when he fell and whether he was hiking alone or with others.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
