LOGAN — After police released video surveillance of a hit-and-run, a woman contacted police and turned herself in on Thursday.
The hit-and-run occurred Sept. 8 at the 400 North and 100 West intersection around 12 p.m., according to Logan city police. A male pedestrian was crossing the street when a female driver in a white car made a left-hand turn and hit the man, police said.
Surveillance video showed the pedestrian roll on the hood of the car as it hit the man. The driver stopped the car and briefly talked to the pedestrian and then drove away.
"The driver said that she was sorry, and she would be more careful, then drove away," Logan Police Capt. Curtis Hooley said.
Police released the surveillance video on Wednesday and a woman contacted the Logan City Police Department and provided her information in connection with the accident.
Police are interviewing the woman and will determine charges after the investigation is finished. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
