SALT LAKE CITY — Bright and early Thursday, nearly 70 Utah veterans from World War II will board the Utah Honor Flight bound for Washington, D.C.

KSL partnered with the Honor Flight program this summer to help send the vets to see the memorial dedicated to their sacrifices.

Utah Honor Flight pays the way for our veterans to take in the experience. A week ago, many Utahns got behind Utah Honor Flight financially, helping to raise more than $70,000 for the program in one day.
