OGDEN — As the weeks of the season progress, the Big Sky conference continues to draw closer to conference play.
However, as the final weeks of the non-conference schedule unfold, some of the teams continue to see their question marks grow.
Big Sky teams went 0-2 versus FBS competition in week three, as UC-Davis fell to Colorado State, 49-21. Also, Pac-12 member Washington State earned its first win of the season, using a 28-0 halftime lead to down Portland State, 59-21.

Other teams faced off against other FCS teams in non-conference action. Northern Colorado picked up its first win of the season, scoring 13 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to beat Southland Conference member Houston Baptist, 28-20. Also, Montana State beat Central Arkansas, 43-33.
Missouri Valley member South Dakota State beat Southern Utah in Cedar City, 26-6. In another Big Sky vs. Missouri Valley matchup, Montana beat South Dakota, 28-20. Missouri State also beat North Dakota, 38-0.
In a rare non-conference meeting between two conference foes, Sacramento State beat Weber State, 42-31, as Hornets coach Jody Sears beat his former team.
Two Big Sky teams beat Division II foes. Idaho State beat Chadron State, 39-34, and Northern Arizona beat New Mexico Highlands, 62-23.
