RENO, Nev. — Don Jackson picked a pretty good time to welcome himself to college football for Nevada.

The freshman Jackson ran for two touchdowns, and Cody Fajardo added 210 yards of total offense to help the Wolf Pack off to a 2-0 start after a 21-13 upset of Washington State.

Nevada also picked off the Cougars’ prolific passer Connor Halliday twice after shutting down FCS opponent Southern Utah at home. Washington State fell to 0-2 on the year.

Here’s how the rest of the Mountain West Conference did in week two.

Boise State 37, Colorado State 24

At Boise, after an anemic opening weekend against Ole Miss, Jay Ajayi got the Broncos back on track in competing for a Mountain West title.

Ajayi had 219 yards rushing, 61 yards receiving and three touchdowns to lead Boise (1-1, 1-0 MWC) to its first win in the Brian Harsine era and hand the Rams (1-1, 0-1) their first loss of the year.

The Bronco defense also limited Alabama transfer Dee Hart and the CSU run game to 28 yards on 23 carries.
