ECUADOR — A fisherman on vacation caught more than fish when he captured a video of hundreds of pelicans diving for fish along a beach.
Maximilliano Ricci had traveled to Crucita, Ecuador from Italy for a vacation when he filmed the pelican feeding frenzy, according to myfoxhouston.com. The video shows hundreds of pelicans simultaneously diving into the water near the beach to scoop up small fish. Beach goers and swimmers watched the birds for over an hour, according to the Daily Mail.
“Even the locals were amazed at the scene,” Ricci told the Daily Mail. “The sardines were pursued along the coast and the entire scene lasted for about an hour.”
