ORLANDO, Florida (WESH) — Police have arrested an Orlando, Florida grandmother accused of letting a 3-year-old steer a car in an parking lot Sunday.
The car crashed into several parked cars at The Serrano apartments.
A witness told police he heard a crash in the parking lot and saw a gold, four-door Chrysler crash head-on into a parked vehicle and then back into another vehicle.
The witness said he could clearly see the child, standing on the lap of 47-year-old Volanda Cousar, steering the car.
The witness confronted the woman so she couldn't flee.
"He was in the front seat of her car," the man said. "He was sitting in her lap. Her hands were not on the wheel."
