EL PASO, Texas- The Salt Lake Bees concluded their 2014 season with a 10-4 loss to the El Paso Chihuahuas on Monday afternoon. J.B. Shuck gave the Bees a 1-0 lead in the first inning with his fifth home run of the season, but El Paso's first three batters in the bottom of the first all singled to bring home the tying run. The Chihuahuas broke the game open as they scored eight runs on nine hits in the third inning off of Salt Lake starter Anthony Lerew (4-6), six of those scoring after there were two outs. The Bees would score three runs in the fourth, including a mammoth solo home run by Brennan Boesch, which hit the scoreboard that sits atop of a three story building in right center field.

Salt Lake outfielder Brennan Boesch wins the 2014 Pacific Coast League batting title with an average of .332.

Boesch would go 2-for-2 and claim the PCL batting title with a .332 average and he set a Salt Lake franchise record with a .636 slugging percentage. Vance Albitz singled in a run to extend his season ending hitting streak to twelve games.
