SALT LAKE CITY — A woman was taken to the hospital via AirMed after a single car crash, police said.

At about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, a 28-year-old woman was driving westbound on I-80 when she lost control of her vehicle and crossed into oncoming traffic near mile marker 59, said Trooper Lawrence Hopper of the Utah Department of Public Safely. The woman then drove about 100 feet off the freeway, Hopper said.

Paramedics called AirMed to take the woman to the hospital where she complained of abdominal pains. She is in serious condition, but UPD said her injuries are non-life threatening.

No one else was riding in the vehicle and no other cars were involved in the accident, Hopper said.
