SALT LAKE CITY — Police made a sharp point about disobeying the law Wednesday when they arrested a man who they say held up a store clerk with scissors.

Chad Campbell, 23, entered Jade Market, 353 W. 200 South, pulled a pair of scissors out of his pocket and ordered the clerk to give him money, said Salt Lake police detective Vernoica Montoya. It was unclear how large or sharp the scissors were.

The clerk did not comply. Campbell fled and the cashier called police, Montoya said. Officers found Campbell a couple of blocks away just a few minutes after receiving the call, she said.

Police arrested Campbell for investigation of aggravated robbery and providing false information to a police officer.
