SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz have signed free-agent forward Brock Motum and guard Kevin Murphy to their roster.

Motum, a 6-foot-10, 245-pound forward who played at Washington State, averaged 8.3 points and 3.3 rebounds a year ago while playing for Granarolo Bologna in the Italian SerieA League.

The 23-year-old forward also spent time with Utah's 2014 Summer League team in Las Vegas, where he played in five games and averaged 8.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.

The native of Melbourne, Australia, played at the Australian Institute of Sport in 2008 and 2009 and is currently playing for the Australian National Team in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup alongside Jazz teammate and first-round draft choice Dante Exum.

The 6-6, 185-pound Murphy was a 2013-14 NBA D-League First Team member after averaging 25.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals for the Idaho Stampede. The Jazz originally drafted Murphy in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft, but traded him to Golden State the following season after he appeared in 17 games as a reserve.

Murphy totaled 2,019 career points at Tennessee Tech, and was named the Naismith Award winner as a senior at Creekside High School in Fairburn, Georgia.

The Jazz now have 18 players on the 2014-15 roster, including recent additions in former Mississippi State guard Dee Bost and Notre Dame alum Jack Cooley.
