TORREY, Wayne County — Swiss cyclist Michael Schar of BMC Racing won the second stage of the Tour of Utah on Tuesday, besting the 130-mile trip from Panguitch to Torrey in 5 hours, 3 minutes.
A group of four cyclists that included Jure Kocjan of SmartStop Pro Cycling finished second, two seconds behind Schar. Lampre-Merida's Andrea Palini, Optum's Eric Young and UnitedHealthcare's Kiel Reijnen also finished in 5 hours, 3 minutes, 2 seconds.
BMC Racing leads the team standings, followed by Lampre-Merida, UnitedHealthcare, Bissell Development and Hincapie Sportswear Development in the top five.
Wednesday's third leg will begin in Lehi and finish at Miller Sports Park in Tooele.
