PANEM — It’s difficult keeping up with all the great movie news coming out of the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con.

Somewhere folded into reports of a Wonder Woman photo, Hulkbuster suit footage, Paul Rudd’s feelings on “Ant-Man” and Stephen Colbert hosting “The Hobbit” panel, a trailer for a tiny little film called “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1” was released.

Fortunately, for non-Con attendees, Lionsgate isn’t keeping its footage exclusive to the San Diego event. This week, it released the first official “Mockingjay” trailer, which highlights the ongoing struggles of Katniss Everdeen and the people who have come to believe in her.

The film, which stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, will be released in November of this year and its sequel, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2” will be released the same time in 2015.

Reaction to the trailer, so far, has been split, with one commenter on comingsoon.net saying, “This brings tears to my eyes and a smile on my face,” while another on slashfilm.com notes, “After the viral marketing they've been doing for a few weeks, which has been brilliant, this is what [we] get for an actual trailer? Have to admit I am a bit disappointed.”

We’ll be talking more Comic-Con and “Hunger Games” on this week’s Flix Junkies podcast, so let us know what you think in the comments.
